If you think Çiğli is the airport, you're thinking of Gaziemir. The real draw here is Sasalı, home to Turkey's first natural life park — you don't need to plan a whole vacation just to see an elephant. The coast has after-work tea spots, and further in it's all neighborhood cafés. Nobody here is claiming to be an entertainment hub, which is a nice kind of relief.
